Restaurant is a term that comes from the French restaurant and this one from the Latin restaurare, which means "to repair". The history of this word begins in the middle of the XVIII century, when a French baker named Boulanger, inaugurated what today is known as one of the first "Casas de Comidas", an establishment dedicated to the sale of homemade broths under a Latin sign that read:
"venite adme adme omnes qui stomacho laboratis et ego restaurabo vos" which means "come to my house men of weak stomach that I myself will restore it to you". From that phrase comes the name of the establishments that nowadays sell food and drink, like ours!

ShareTweetFlipPinEn pleno centro turístico de Barcelona, Las Ramblas, puedes encontrar un oasis en el Reial Círculo Artístico de Barcelona. Este instituto de arte alberga muchos talleres y exposiciones todavía y ahora también tiene una expresión gastronómica de arte con su restaurante, El Cercle.
El restaurante ofrece un menú muy variado que incluye comida catalana con tapas y pequeños platos, así como comida japonesa. Estas diferentes cocinas se pueden degustar en los distintos espacios en los que está instalado el restaurante. El Circle ocupa algunas de las salas del palacio que han sido rehabilitadas, como la sala de la Biblioteca y la sala de las Cuatro Estaciones. En cada una de estas salas se puede ver al joven chef Sergi Pelao en la cocina. Pero si prefiere comer con palillos, diríjase a la sala "la Barra", donde el chef japonés Mistake Kawata elabora un sushi y un sashimi extraordinarios. Por último, en el "Jardin" (jardín), la terraza del restaurante, podrá contemplar el flujo constante de gente en el Portal d'Angel.
